Powering Defense Contractors
Mentor-Protégé Readiness Labs (MPRL) is a workforce-development and talent-engagement model designed to help defense contractors build stronger connections with the future workforce while developing relationships with schools, educators, veterans, and industry subject-matter experts. MPRL provides a structured platform for contractors to host Virtual Labs (webinars) and Hybrid Labs (webinars, job shadowing, factory tours, and other hands-on experiences) that introduce students and emerging workers to real-world career pathways, technologies, skills, and business opportunities. Through SLA Labs and the GIGPilot platform, participating contractors can engage potential talent, identify interests and skills, connect participants with veteran and industry mentors, and create pathways toward internships, apprenticeships, employment, supplier opportunities, and continued workforce development.
